Douglass Freed paints luminescent oil paintings where he finds the grey area between traditional landscape painting and its abstraction into color fields. He captures the mystical light found in natural atmospheric effects: the haze in the distance on humid summer days.
Arny Nadler’s work investigate the body in a state of ambiguous metamorphosis. Many works begin as individual parts that are eventually grafted together in a manner that nods at structural order but disregards anatomical and proportional correctness.

Byron’s new work expands the boundaries of traditional collage through digital techniques of image generation and print layering, the artist produces digital collages on a large scale that embody the dense stacking of contemporary visual experience.
This vibrant new series of abstractions further expands upon the dynamic interplay between organic linear networks and hard-edge geometry that has come to characterize Chris Kahler’s unique work.

Pleasure is All Mine, a solo exhibition of Lola Ogbara, is a compilation of works (sculpture, collages, and photographs) that uses ‘othered’ and grotesque rhetorics as a visual aesthetics; alongside, pleasure activism frameworks to imagine a unique lens in which Western society views the Black feminine experience as whole and with full agency. I attempt to reconstruct viewership by transcending tensions of hyper-visibility and invisibility. Exploring moments that alter the power dynamics of the gaze, I use distorted images while blurring the line between object and body to disrupt the gaze.

Keep Swimming is the first solo exhibition by photographer & director Preach Perfect. This exhibition is to give view of resilience & overcoming. By understanding that life is like an ocean. There will be things in the water (life) that will try to hinder you from getting to where you want to go. But it’s imperative that you keep going, that you keep swimming. When you leave the venue on November 9th Preach & his team hope that you leave feeling like you can go on. That you feel strong & can move through the gloomy days life might bring. Most importantly that you remember our motto:
Don’t Bend,
Don’t Break,
Don’t Shiver,
Don’t Shake,
Just Keep Swimming.
