WE’RE BAAAAACK!!!

Much like the poltergeist from the feature film Poltergeist 2, in person events are back! Because scheduling is scary enough, Silver Space is here to help. Behold, our virtual baby - The Events Calendar - revived by popular demand. Here you can find out when the next gallery opening is, where you can hear free artist talks, and even what you missed out on because you didn’t check the calendar like you should have in the first place. Shame!

If you have an exhibition, event, artist talk, opening, or something tangentially associated, email marinam@silverspacestl.com and we’ll do our best to get you on!

ALINGERING NOTE: in-person gatherings during covid

During these Quarantimes, we wish everyone the best health and happiness. We are proud to support local galleries, museums, and businesses who are working tirelessly to provide you enjoyable experiences and services. With that being said, we encourage everyone to take proper precautions and mindfulness when spending time in public spaces.

Be sure to visit each venue’s website for information on their COVID-19
business hours, guidelines, and mask policies.

If you are still unsure how to protect yourself and others, please visit the World Health Organization's website for more advice and updates on the COVID-19 outbreak.

Monthly Music Series: Tonina

  • World Chess Hall of Fame (map)

Tonina is a singer/songwriter, bassist, music journalist, and poet from Saint Louis, Missouri who performs her original music along with her arrangements in Spanish, Italian and English. She began her musical journey when she was nine years old and was trained classically for 11 years, studying with bassists from the St. Louis Symphony and attending various master classes with Grammy Award-winning bassist, John Clayton. She eventually lead the bass sections of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and The Missouri All State Orchestra.

At the age of 17, she was admitted to Berklee College of Music and went on to study bass and Africana Studies. In October 2016, Tonina travelled to Spain to perform at the National Auditorium of Madrid and shortly graduated from Berklee earning two degrees. In 2018, she performed at the Catania Jazz Festival in Sicily touring Italy and Spain. She now performs solo and with her quartet at local venues in Saint Louis. Tonina’s first album, titled King’s Queen, features her Hip Hop material. She has collaborated with producer and friend Dylan Brady, as well as many other St. Louis artists, since 2010. Throughout her career, Tonina has crossed musical boundaries by combining different genres into her own style.
