WE’RE BAAAAACK!!!

Much like the poltergeist from the feature film Poltergeist 2, in person events are back! Because scheduling is scary enough, Silver Space is here to help. Behold, our virtual baby - The Events Calendar - revived by popular demand. Here you can find out when the next gallery opening is, where you can hear free artist talks, and even what you missed out on because you didn’t check the calendar like you should have in the first place. Shame!

If you have an exhibition, event, artist talk, opening, or something tangentially associated, email marinam@silverspacestl.com and we’ll do our best to get you on!

ALINGERING NOTE: in-person gatherings during covid

During these Quarantimes, we wish everyone the best health and happiness. We are proud to support local galleries, museums, and businesses who are working tirelessly to provide you enjoyable experiences and services. With that being said, we encourage everyone to take proper precautions and mindfulness when spending time in public spaces.

Be sure to visit each venue’s website for information on their COVID-19
business hours, guidelines, and mask policies.

MADE At The Foundry Exhibition

  • The Foundry Art Centre 520 North Main Center Saint Charles, MO, 63301 United States (map)

The Foundry Art Centre is pleased to announce MADE at the Foundry. This art exhibition stems from a collaborative partnership between MADE Makerspace, located in the Delmar Market District and the Foundry Art Centre. Featuring Makers, Artists, Designers, and Entrepreneurs, this exhibition examines the unique interconnections between these creative disciplines. Works made by MADE members and studio artists, along with tools, technology, and other supplies will be on display. MADE at the Foundry places a strong emphasis on the importance of interactivity, innovation, and community engagement within the creative economy.

“We are very excited to be partnering with the Foundry on this unique exhibition. Both our spaces support the St. Louis [area] community of makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs, and we both provide resources for similar people in different spaces. Unifying our communities through innovative collaborations such as MADE at the Foundry inspires new connections for all our makers.” says Emily Elhoffer, MADE Member Director. “Our community ranges from practicing artists to novice furniture makers, retired sewing instructors to freelance jewelry designers, and so much more. We have over 200 active members using our shop, and our second floor hosts studio space for artists and inventors.”

“This collaborative partnership just made sense.” Explains Sean FitzGibbons, Foundry Art Centre’s Executive Director. “The Foundry’s focus is to champion our region’s art community and we see that same focus at MADE. We are thrilled to see MADE at the Foundry as the first project in a continuing partnership. This inventive exhibition is a fantastic way to showcase the close relationships between art, craft, and technology.”

A socially distanced opening reception for MADE at the Foundry is scheduled for Friday, March 12, from 5-7pm. For more information, please visit us at foundryartcentre.org or email Jessica Mannisi, Art & Exhibitions Coordinator at jmannisi@foundryartcentre.org.
