SPARK is back by popular demand! Last time was such a blast, we're glad you asked for another round.
Calling all writers and STL creatives! Stuck in a creative funk? Looking to generate something new and make more connections?
FLOW, St. Louis' new literary arts center, is ready to ignite your creative magic! We’ll provide the vibe, you provide your art. SPARK will lead writers and artists through an evening of lo-fi generative energy with music, poetry, drumming, and live painting. If your own creative work can fit on your lap (i.e., notebook, laptop, a sketchbook, camera, small canvas, etc.) and doesn’t require an external power source, come work in the FLOW with us!
Typewriters, creative prompts, unique creative tools, and online sharing spaces will be available. December Magazine is providing free issues for the taking. Let’s see what St. Louis can spark together!
Doors open at 6:30, stage starts promptly at 7:00. Light snacks and two beverages provided with admission. We have beer from Urban Chestnut and Schlafly, wine, and soft drinks available for you.
We /strongly/ recommend advance tickets, as this event nearly reached capacity in February - with Mardi Gras and an ice storm the same day. Any possible remaining tickets for door sales will be limited to exact change only ($30 or $25 cash) or credit/debit card.

WE’RE BAAAAACK!!!
Much like the poltergeist from the feature film Poltergeist 2, in person events are back! Because scheduling is scary enough, Silver Space is here to help. Behold, our virtual baby - The Events Calendar - revived by popular demand. Here you can find out when the next gallery opening is, where you can hear free artist talks, and even what you missed out on because you didn’t check the calendar like you should have in the first place. Shame!
If you have an exhibition, event, artist talk, opening, or something tangentially associated, email marinam@silverspacestl.com and we’ll do our best to get you on!
ALINGERING NOTE: in-person gatherings during covid

With that being said, we encourage everyone to take proper precautions and mindfulness when spending time in public spaces.
