WE’RE BAAAAACK!!!

Much like the poltergeist from the feature film Poltergeist 2, in person events are back! Because scheduling is scary enough, Silver Space is here to help. Behold, our virtual baby - The Events Calendar - revived by popular demand. Here you can find out when the next gallery opening is, where you can hear free artist talks, and even what you missed out on because you didn’t check the calendar like you should have in the first place. Shame!

If you have an exhibition, event, artist talk, opening, or something tangentially associated, email marinam@silverspacestl.com and we’ll do our best to get you on!

ALINGERING NOTE: in-person gatherings during covid

During these Quarantimes, we wish everyone the best health and happiness. We are proud to support local galleries, museums, and businesses who are working tirelessly to provide you enjoyable experiences and services. With that being said, we encourage everyone to take proper precautions and mindfulness when spending time in public spaces.

Be sure to visit each venue’s website for information on their COVID-19
business hours, guidelines, and mask policies.

If you are still unsure how to protect yourself and others, please visit the World Health Organization's website for more advice and updates on the COVID-19 outbreak.

SOLD OUT - Art & Magic with Keith Jozsef, Master Illusionist

  • World Chess Hall of Fame (map)

This event is now sold out.

Join us for an evening inspired by the exhibition Victor Vasarely: Calculated Compositions, and the illusions created by Optical Art. Keith Jozsef will perform a series of amazing illusions and teach participants one complete routine using everyday objects. Jozsef has been performing and teaching magic in the Metro area and around the country for over twenty years. The Riverfront Times said, “To call Keith Jozsef a magician is to understate his skill—magicians perform tricks--Jozsef creates illusions.”

Victor Vasarely is widely regarded as the “Father of the Op Art movement.” The French-Hungarian artist became entranced by patterns, including that of a chessboard in the late 1930s, which became the quintessential framework for his art.

General admission is $5. *Free for World Chess Hall of Fame members.
Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.

For more information or to reserve a spot please email: events@worldchesshof.org.

Metered on-street parking is available, as well as paid lots adjacent to Art & Magic with Kingside Diner and at the Schlafly branch of the St. Louis Public Library.
